What is Tomorrow?
by
Tammy D. Thompson
It's the today we have wished for
Or one we didn't want to show
It's the future that quickly becomes
The today that we all know.
It's another day, soon the present
But a day away,
Always coming so quickly
But one that will not stay.
You see time's hourglass sifts faster
Than we realize in the end.
Sometimes the fast pace is our enemy
But sometimes our best friend.
So what is tomorrow?
Is it the today, come and gone
Only waiting for another
Until another one is shown.
Just treasure each present day
For the tomorrow we long to see
Will be here before we know it.
Then soon enough will leave.

Drops of rain falling, I start Listening and wondering if God is crying for someone.
Days pass and I watch the beautiful sun rise and shine brighter than ever, and it made me wonder if he was finally smiling for someone's happiness.
Then early one morning I find myself alone and in a quiet place, then I heard it. I heard a beautiful song from a bird outside my window. Then I wondered if that was God singing through such a beautiful creature.
You see, in everything, he exists if you take the time to notice.
BELIEVE AND BELIEVE
Some days when storm clouds find their way
Into my daily life,
I pull out my umbrella of faith
And battle through my strife.
I find the smile deep within
From the things I'm blessed to hold,
And tread throughout the day
Full of a positive attitude so bold.
Some days when problems multiply,
When my mind gets boggled entwinned...
I have to stop and think again
And what I find...
Is the direction I am going
Is one I choose for me,
So on those days...what I do..
Is believe and believe.
So when I think I can't go on...
I look up and see,
A beauty above any other...
Then I believe and believe.
THE LIGHT
The world unfolds before my eyes
Though scary as it may be
I see children who need to be loved
Those captive of hate needing to be free.
Unfolds many husbands and wives
Straying to places unknown
But as the Bible clearly says
You will reap what you have sewn.
As it shows a little clearer
Ahead I see the brightest light,
It guides my way as I walk...
As my blindness turns to sight.
Now unfolded, everything
From the brave, the greedy and the wise,
And as I reach and touch the light
It wasn't a surprise.
It filled me full of love and peace
For no matter what unfolds on earth for me
I know where I can find the light
That will always set me free.
NOW
We wander about from day to day,
With thoughts of next week, next year...
We plan trips and hold grudges
Thinking time will always be here.
We wake each morning, grouchy
Instead of proud we opened our eyes.
We want more and more, I know
To me, that's no surprise...
But I can see the fault in it all
I see clearly, I do somehow...
For no matter what you see in the future
All we really have...is NOW!
I dedicate this poem to Becky West, my best friends mother who is losing a battle for life, but my prayers are always with her and her family... We love you 'Becky!!

I FLY AWAY
I fly away when I close my eyes to places only dreams can go...
I see perfect lands and sunsets Then the sun in the morn as it grows...
I fly away to my past when as a child I knew it all,
When mom and dad were always wrong, but would still catch me when I'd fall.
I fly away to imagination to places that could never be,
For when I fly away like that, it's only then that I see....
Exactly where my heart is, my hopes and dreams hold dear.
I fly away each and every night to find another place so dear...
I fly away, but wake again and greet another day,
Until the night when eyes shall close and again, I fly away

I WRITE
I write to show my passion...
I write to show my grief...
I write in the midst of happiness
And to glorify my belief
I write because it was a special gift
Only GOD could give
And he meant for me to use that gift
Every second that I Live.
I Write because it's who I am and who I always want to be...
Following my dreams and never giving up!
